Ramin Davatgar

I am Ramin Davatgar, a philosophy researcher, translator, and instructor. My intellectual and academic journey represents a deep intersection of philosophy, literature, and language. Holding a Master’s degree in Philosophy from Shahid Beheshti University, an M.A. in English Literature, and a Ph.D. in English Language Teaching, I have consistently strived to explore profound humanistic concepts through a multidisciplinary lens, focusing on the intersections of ethics, epistemology, and metaphysics in the modern world. My primary research and academic endeavors focus on Existentialism, the intersection of philosophy and literature (particularly in the works of Dostoevsky), and analyzing the intellectual legacy of key figures such as Friedrich Nietzsche and Paul Ricoeur. Driven by the core belief that philosophy should not be confined to academic institutions but must actively engage with our everyday lives, I founded the "Philosophy City of Iran". My mission is to foster critical thinking, facilitate scholarly gatherings for humanities elites, and promote public philosophy. Beyond teaching specialized courses and translating foundational works, I consider it my social responsibility to support cultural initiatives, including producing theatrical performances and sponsoring philosophical essay competitions.
